H.R.H. the Prince of Asturias chaired the Ibero-American Television Organisation´s VII General Assembly was held in Oviedo on 16th March. Created in 1971, this organisation brings together over 50 television networks from 21 countries and over 600 million potential viewers. It has decided to hold its Assembly in Oviedo "in recognition of the Prince of Asturias Awards" history and enormous prestige, and especially its work fostering social, cultural and scientific development in Ibero-American communities. These exclude nominations made through consulates and embassies and those for Sports and Concord Award categories, which have a 27th July deadline.
The event took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation´s Diplomatic School on Tuesday 27th.
The event was held at Villa Magdalena (Oviedo) on 15th March.
Last year´s performance of Sergei Prokofiev´s cantata Alexander Nevsky at the XV annual Music Week´s finale concert, is the fifth recording released by the label.
