PRINCE OF ASTURIAS AWARD WINNERS ABOUT TO ARRIVE IN ASTURIAS
The winners of the 2003 Prince of Asturias Awards, whose grand presentation ceremony will take place on Friday 24th at the Campoamor Theatre, are starting to arrive in Ovedo. Fatema Mernissi, the winner of the Prince of Asturias Award for Letters arrived yesterday, Sunday. Gustavo Gutiérrez Merino and Ryszard Kapuściński, joint winners of the Communication and Humanities Award, will do so in the course of today, Monday 20th.

Jane Goodall, winner of the Prince of Asturias Award for Technical and Scientific Research will arrive in Oviedo on Tuesday 21st, and Jürgen Habermas, the Prince of Asturias Award for Social Science will be here the following day.

2003 PRINCE OF ASTURIAS AWARDS PRESS CONFERENCE AND CONFERENCE PROGRAMME PRESENTED
Almost all of the 2003 Prince of Asturias award winners to hold meeting with the press and to give conferences at a number of venues in Asturias.
KAPUSCINSKI TO GIVE A SEMINAR ON NEWS REPORTING ON THE 21ST IN OVIEDO
The veteran journalist and Prince of Asturias Award winner for Communication and Humanities will meet fifty directors from the Spanish media and will then recount his professional experiences at an event that is opened to the general public.
THE XII MUSIC WEEK HAS ORGANISED NINETEEN CONCERTS BETWEEN THE 17TH AND 23RD OCTOBER
Organised by the Prince of Asturias Foundation, concerts will be held at eight different venues in Asturias. The Abendmusik Medieval Music Ensemble was inaugurated the XII Music Week.
AWARD WINNER PRESS CONFERENCES AND CONFERENCES SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, 21ST OCTOBER
Fatema Mernissi and Ryszard Kapuscinski will both give press conferences to the media that have accreditation to provide coverage of the Prince of Asturias Awards.
THIS YEAR´S SEVERO OCHOA AND GRANDE COVIÁN RESEARCH GRANTS ARE ANNOUNCED
Two Asturian research teams turned out winners of this year´s call for projects, which 34 candidatures from four counties and ten Spanish regions ran for.
