Woody Allen and Arthur Miller
met for the first time in the presence of over two hundred journalists
during the press conference they both held yesterday morning in Oviedo's Príncipe
Felipe Auditorium. Despite them both living in NewYork, this year's Prince of Asturias
Award winners for the Arts and Letters respectively did not know each other personally,
though they had expressed mutual admiration for each other on several occasions.

The historic meeting took
place during the break between the moviemaker and playwright's press conferences. They
shook hands in the presence of the media and conversed for several minutes, a unique,
one-off occasion of two of the biggest living legends of the twentieth century.
