The call for the 2005 Prince of Asturias Awards now open
Thousands of pamphlets are distributed worldwide by special courier service. The Prince of Asturias Foundation has begun distribution of the pamphlet containing the official announcement for candidatures and rules for the 2005 Prince of Asturias Awards.

2005 Exemplary Town of Asturias Award call for candidatures
The Prince of Asturias Foundation has started distributing almost 3,000 copies of the booklet containing the Call for Candidatures and Regulations of the 2005 Exemplary Town of Asturias Award, now being organised for the sixteenth time.
The “They were once like you” competition opens for entries
As part of the activities of the Foundation´s Aula Joven, entries for the “They were once like you” competition for pupils in Asturias´ Secondary Education schools have been called for in what is now their seventh consecutive year.
Juan Luis Iglesias Prada, new General Secretary of the Prince of Asturias Awards
Juan Luis Iglesias Prada, Doctor in Law and Professor at Madrid´s Universidad Autónoma was appointed general secretary of the Prince of Asturias Foundation at the 2004 ordinary meeting of the Board of Patrons.
Spain´s post office to issue stamp commemorating Prince of Asturias Awards´ XXV Anniversary
Nearly one million stamps will disseminate the Award´s image worldwide. The Spanish Post Office is to issue a stamp commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Prince of Asturias Awards.
