The jury for the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts 1993, convened in Oviedo, comprising D. Antonio Bonet Correa, Dª. María del Corral López-Dóriga, D, Félix Guisasola, D. Tomás Llorens, D. Manuel Martín Ferrand, D. Miguel de Oriol e Ybarra, D. Leopoldo Rodés Castañé, Dª Susana Solano, chaired by D. José Lladó y Fernández-Urrutia and with D. José Antonio Caicoya Cores as secretary, agree to bestow the 1993 Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts on Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza in recognition of a long professional career as an architect restrained only by the code of his own creativity.
